Alexandrite: An Update

A few posts ago, I talked about this mysterious gemstone: its history, properties, characteristics.  I also wondered how I could incorporate it in my designs.

I love working with Alexandrite and so far, these are what I came up with:

The 2nd and 3rd photos were custom (personalized) requests.  The 1st and 4th are still available here and here.

Alexandrite is hard to get by so once my suppliers have them available, I stock up on them right away.  I have made a recent purchase:

Stay tuned to this blog to see what I’ve made these into 🙂

If you want to own a piece of this one of a kind gemstone, leave me a message in facebook or etsy.

OMG, these are really cute. Why are the prices so low? I thought Alexandrite gemstones are suppose to be very expensive?

hi! I agree that real mined Alexandrite are quite pricey. The Alexandrites I buy are lab-created, thus, more affordable bridge jewelry. There have been clients who’ve requested for natural Alexandrites, and that is only when I use them 🙂
